An intriguing feature of murals is their ability to break the shackles of space. They set out to conquer a city and not be confined to a limited space perhaps what we know as a museum. Murals have had a long history educating and revolutionizing minds since early 1900’s from Mexico to Northern Ireland and now to Kathmandu. In my final paper in university I had argued for the political implications of art (published in my blog). Imagine my surprise and happiness upon knowing my own city was undergoing Mural awareness, an apt form of the political implications of art enabling identity building when the nation is on the verge of a cultural break;
